Lucky Charm #2

Lucky Charm

Thugs #2 Arrives!

Thugs! Issue 2 arrived today from the printers!
It looks really slick and I like this second issue better than the first...a whole lot more fun!

Now to mail some off for review purposes.

Doesn't Make Sense #2

Two more!

Tank Girl - WIP!

Now to add some tone.

Poison Ivy

White Heat No.1

Here's the cover for my new sci-fi anthology title featuring 'Deb Bonair'. Tom Columbus was the color artist on this beauty...over Rory Hensleys pencils and inks. I consider myself very, very lucky to have these talented guys work on my crap.

Doesn't Make Sense

More illustration work.

Tank Girl!

Hmm...need to change the face a bit. But this is the direction I'm going for the Tank Girl watercolor. More 'cartoony' than the previous effort.

Doesn't Make Sense

Two more from a different series.

Extinction #5

Extinction #4

Same same.

Extinction #3

Same again!

Extinction #2

Anthor illo.
Thumbnail by Rory Hensley...pencils, inks, color by moi!

Extinction

An illustration I finished for a freelance gig. The thumbnails were provided to me. I tightened them up and inked and colored in Flash. The thumbnails were by the awesome talented Rory Hensley.

Zom-B-Movie - Page 2!

Done!

Zom-B-Movie - Page 2 ruff!

Very rough but good enough for me to go in and ink it.

Zom-B-Movie - Page 1!

Here's the finished first page for 'Zom-B-Movie'.

Zom-B-Movie WIP!

Work in Progress of a two page story for Shawn Gabborins 'Short Stack' horror anthology.

Tank Girl - Ruff!

Blue pencil rough for a watercolor I promised Rich McAuliffes missus and I also have to do a watercolor for Rich too!

Wasn't happy with this Tank Girl image. It's not 'cartoony' more serious. I think she should be very cartoonish, just like the way Rufus Dayglo draws her in the Judge Dredd Megazine.

Back to the drawing board on this one.

Projects Update!

Things to do... and things on hold:

1. Mrs. Browns Boys Animated Short 'Close Encounters of the Elderly Kind!' has been put on hold for the time being while I wait for an update. Still looking forward to finishing it. It's a lot of fun.
2. Tank Girl commission for Bluemeanies wife Iz. This is going to be a watercolor effort. I've got the reference, just have to draw it.
3. Bride of Frankenstein commission pic for Bluemeanie. I promised him this ages ago. Same deal as the Tank Girl one...all watercolor
4. Strontium Dog artwork for Rich's script. We might actually submit this somewhere when we're finished.
5. Thugs! #3. Gotta get this issue compiled for publication by the end of August. Again, like the previous print issues I have to go back in a swap and tweak artwork.
6. Thugs! online chapter 6. Gotta get this done before the webstrip catches up with me!
7. Finvarras Feast. have to write the outline for this fairy tale meets the commitments story I've had brewing for yoinks!
8. Irelands Own. An Irish gangland crime project I've been mulling around. Again have to write an outline for this sucker...and I've got a lot of research to go over too.

Lots of stuff...so little time!

Greenbrook - Page 33 - Sneak Peek!

Ooops!

No sneak peek because it would probably ruin the ending if I showed any of it. I'm just glad that I got this whole book finished in time for Shawn over at PKD Media. It was a long hard slog.

Now, I have to open up all my psd files and format them for PKD MEDIA and possibly 'tweak' a page or two...but as far as I'm concerned...I'm done!

Woohoo!

Greenbrook - Page 32 - Sneak Peek!

One page left!

Greenbrook - Page 31 - Sneak Peek!

Two pages to go!

Nearly there!

Greenbrook - Page 29 - Sneak Peek!

Back to page 29.

Greenbrook - Page 34 - Sneak Peek!

Yep!

You read the title right.

I jumped to the last page of Greenbrook because it was fun to ink. Can't show the whole page...but the pic above is a small reveal of a future villain for whoever is left over from this story.

See...I didn't spoil it!

Greenbrook - Page 28 - Sneak Peek!

Another page bites the dust!

Greenbrook - Page 27 - Sneak Peek!

Another snippet.

Greenbrook - Page 26 - Sneak Peek!

It's been a bit of time since my last update! I've finally got the rest of Greenbrook pencilled. I'm now inking and compiling the pages. So, ther should be updates on a more regular basis now.

Couldn't sneak peek this page.

Greenbrook - Page 20 - Sneak Peek!

Another sneak peek!

Rory Hensley/Tom Columbus = Genius!

This is a peek at the cover for White Heat no.1!

Rory Hensley did the pencils and inks and his good friend Tom Columbus really knocked it out of the ballpark with the colors. The guy is amazing!

Check out Rory's blog here... http://roryhensley.blogspot.com/
And the great Tom Columbus' website here...http://tc02.net/

Greenbrook - Page 19 - Sneak peek!

Soldiering away! Page 19 is done. Over half completed!

Close Encounters - Scene 1

A sneak peek at my latest animated project. Mrs. Brown looks really lonely in this pic.

Sketch

Phew!

I promised my good friend Jon Lewis a while back that I'd do a quick sketch for his new art book that he's going to be selling at San Diego...

And then I completely forgot about it. Jon had been shooting me emails and they were going into my junk email folder!

Grrrr!

I eventually saw them late friday and the deadline for Jon was Sunday! So, on Saturday I knocked this one out as quick as I could for him. It's decent but I'm mad at myself for not getting to it sooner!

I owe Jon another one...and the next time I'll be spending a heck of a lot more time on it!

Sneak Peek!

Screenshot of the opening for the animated short!
It's still a bit rough. The ship needs a lot of tweaking.

Thugs! - Classic Cover

I did this drawing a good while back just for fun. I've included it in the second issue as a 'Classic Cover'. Waste not want not.

The cover is based on Wonder Woman #288 from 1982.
Apologies to Gene Colan and Romeo Tanghal.

Thugs! - Letters page 2

I loved drawing Ultramaiden on the last two pages. She's my favorite character from the 'Thugs!' strip.

Thugs! - Letters page 1

Myself and Al decided to add a letters page to Thugs! Hopefully, it will be a regular thing with the book.
