Mrs. Brown Animated Series Update

Been a while. But making steady progress on the pilot. Just put together the sequences and scenes for the pilot. 8 sequences in total and roughly around 427 scenes. I need to go back in and see what I can amalgamate. Also have to add additional character design for the pilot. It's a hard slog but worth it.

Now...back to the drawing board!

Mrs. Browns Boys Update

No wonder she's happy. World domination begins...NOW!

Finished the main cast model sheets for the animated series. Currently working on getting reference images for backgrounds. I dislike drawing backgrounds...but it has to be done. It's a weakness with me but I'm determined to do a fantastic job on this.

Next phase is the Script, which Brendan is currently writing. I'll need to go through it with a fine comb and section out what's needed...background wise, character wise and prop wise. And figure out where the main concerns would come in the animation stage...what will work, what won't, and if it doesn't work...what solution can I come up with to make it work..etc.

It's been a long process. It took years to reach this stage. Patience is definitely a virtue.

In the meantime...Mrs. Brown is up for more BAFTAs this year. Here's hoping Brendan gets his hands on one.

Update - Busy, Busy, Busy!

Haven't posted in ages!

Here's the latest...still busy with the Mrs. Browns Boys designs. I have no idea how popular Mrs Brown is in the UK and Ireland because I'm more or less isolated from the success of the show living here in the United States. A buddy of mine in Wales, Rich McAuliffe, has told me that he's seen lots of people wearing Mrs Brown T-Shirts, with my artwork, walking around Cardiff in Wales. Which is all kinds of cool.

I've also noticed that the cartoon version of Mrs Brown seems to be very popular. It's popping up in Facebook posts and on the web a lot...even on a cake! Which is amazing. When the Animated Series finally hits, I have no doubt it will be huge.

Talking of the animated series - I've nearly finished the character designs of the main cast. However, I can't post them...yet. It's all under wraps until I get the all clear. I'm really happy with them. They're way better than the original designs I did years ago. I should be starting on background layouts as early as next week.

So, instead of posting the Mrs. Brown designs, I'll post some old artwork (6 months or older) that I've got lying around so the blog won't die a painful slow death.
