Alan Grant Another major influence on how I read and view comic books and their heroes. Alan Grant, alongside John Wagner, and even solo, created and wrote some of the most memorable stories I've ever read in comics. Grant always came across as the 'light hearted', 'comedy' side of the Wagner/Grant partnership, but his work on Strontium Dog and his Detective Comics run showed a lot more to me. He's a fantastic writer and I only wish I could write even 5% percent of what he's capabale of...I'd settle for that.
