Here's the second design plus the 'award' graphic. I really enjoyed doing these designs. The whole idea behind this game is that as you progress in the jackpot...so does your level of re-incarnation until you reach 'Enlightenment'.
It was a fun concpet but I probably shouldn't have mixed religion with money. Which is quite ironic.
I'm doing something a little different with my inking lately. I've laways used Micron pens for inking...now, I'm using the pens and also a brush for little bits and pieces to build some confidence. It's working out okay so far.
Here's what the covers will look like for 'Mercury and the Murd' issues 2 and 3. Shawn at PKD Media posted them earlier on the CGS Forums. If you want to buy a copy...go to www.indyplanet.com and make your purchase.
The folks at PKD Media have also asked me for another cover...I'm going to try and that done by the end of this week. It's been fun doing those covers.
Brendan had the program from his latest play mailed over to me. He used all the character designs I did for him as the backbone for the program. He was really happy with it. Martin, Brendan's manager told me that the program sold more than any of the previous plays programs did...and Brendan and Martin said that my art help to sell it.
I'm delighted it worked out so well. Above are some phots of the program.
Above is the finished inks over the rough layout. Looking pretty good. Just need the background image and then I'l start coloring it. Pretty fast turnover for this. Shawn needs it by friday...saturday morning the latest.
As the title sez - it's the blue line layout for the 'Caretakers Uncannily Nasty Tales' cover for the Black & White Edition.
Myself and Rich decided we'd go ahead and print a black and white version while Rob works on the colors. It'll take Rob a bit of time to color the whole 49 pages. So, in the meantime, people can buy the Black & White version.
This cover is a sort of homage to Al Feldsteins 'Tales of Terror' cover from EC Comics. To check out Mr. Feldsteins cover and compare...go to this link:
Now, all I got to do is attach the signature and get this sucker framed. I'm really, really happy about how this turned out. Probably one of the best pieces I've done recently.
Nearly finished this Dredd watercolor. It's for a 'John Wagner' personalised message and signature that Al (Torchsong) Sparrow got for me at the San Diego Comic-Con.
